Color of the Week: Columbia River Remix

March always has the most wild weather including potential flooding and thunderstorms. The Snoqualmie floods regularly around here. We are on high ground, so other than traffic jams we have it pretty easy. As annoying as it can be I also find a certain amount of peace being stuck in traffic on a bridge beside what used to be a pasture and now is temporary wetland habitat for many types of birds. I often see Bald Eagles, ducks, geese, swans, and many more. Maybe all that slowing down is for the best.

This color reminds me of the Columbia River, the river of my childhood. It also makes me think of the Snoqualmie, which is the river Iā€™m near now.

This yarn is called Columbia River Remix. One of my first colorways was called Columbia River. It had sections of blue, green, and brown. I thought it would be fun to blend the colors together and I was so happy the result, which feels just like visiting the Columbia River.
